Classical Ballet Classes for Children and Teenagers in Berlin

Welcome to our fun and structured classical Ballet classes for ages 8-10 and 10 to teens! At The Center, our teachers are professional dance artists who create an inclusive environment focused on personal growth and the joy of dance—without the pressures of competition. From foundational barre work to graceful center routines, students progress at their own pace while building strength, technique, and confidence. Classes are taught in English. Ready to experience the beauty of ballet?
We offer two types of ballet classes: Focus Classes for students who want consistent training, personal goals, and the opportunity to work towards our annual Stage Performance. Enrolment is open in January, May, and September. And Foundation Classes that offer more flexibility, allowing students of all ages to join at any time, book single classes or a contract, and add extra training when they wish. Both class types are available at different levels and for different age groups, as listed below. All about Focus & Foundation Classes

Our classes have a dress code to helps create a concentrated and safe environment in class. Don’t worry—you won’t need to follow it for your trial class. However, please take a look at the requirements so you can choose something similar and so you're prepared for future sessions.

Class Descriptions

Young Children | 3-7 years

Ballet for Kids | 8-10 years | Focus
Ballet for Kids | 8-10 years | Foundation

This class introduces students to classical ballet basics, including foundational steps, vocabulary, and technique. Barre and center work include small and big jumps, turns, and traveling steps, helping dancers develop balance, strength, coordination, and quality of movement.
Focus Classes are steady groups where students work together throughout the year toward our annual stage production in April and a Studio Showcase at year's end. New students join only at the start of each term — January, May, or September — and in technique-based disciplines like Ballet and Acrobatics, students train in smaller, level-based groups to help them progress faster.

Ballet Level 1&up | 10-16 years | Foundation

A beginner-level class for kids and teens with some prior ballet experience. Students strengthen their foundation in classical ballet technique through structured barre work focused on balance, placement, and form. Center work builds on this with small and big jumps, turns, and traveling steps that develop strength, mobility, and quality of movement. As dancers grow in confidence and ability, they take on more challenging combinations, building the artistry and discipline that classical ballet training requires.
Students who are new to ballet are encouraged to take Ballet Introduction Workshops in the vacation time.

Ballet Level 2 | 10-16 years | Focus

Focus Classes are steady groups where students work together throughout the year toward our annual stage production in April and a Studio Showcase at year's end. New students join only at the start of each term — January, May, or September — and in technique-based disciplines like Ballet, students train in smaller, level-based groups to help them progress faster.

While this is still a beginner-level class, at least one or two years of ballet experience is required.
