4,5 Stunden intensives Tanztraining jeden Tag - mach mit! In dieser Woche werdet ihr von einer/m unserer internationalen professionellen TänzerInnen unterrichtet. Dieser Kurs führt in die Moves heutiger beliebter Musikvideoclips ein. Ihr lernt schnelle, kraftvolle Tanzkombinationen, die für Teenager mit etwas Tanzvorkenntnissen geeignet sind.
Bei unseren Proben werden wir eine Choreographie entwickeln, die wir dann am letzten Tag in einem kurzen Video aufzeichnen und auf Social Media posten werden. Auch ihr dürft dies tun, wenn ihr The Center tagged. Dafür werden wir eine Einverständniserklärung eurer Eltern brauchen.
Für diesen Workshop empfehlen wir mindestens zwei Jahre regelmäßiges Tanztraining.

Der Unterricht fängt pünktlich an. Bitte seid 15 Minuten vorher da, um euch umzuziehen und etwas aufzuwärmen.
Während der Mittagspause können die Schüler sich frei in der Nachbarschaft bewegen. Das Studio befindet sich in einem malerischen Hinterhof mit vielen Bänken, die sich bei schönem Wetter wunderbar für die Mittagspause eignen. Der Kollwitz Kiez selber ist ein sehr attraktives und ruhiges Wohngebiet, in dem es reichlich Geschäfte, Restaurants und Deli's direkt um die Ecke gibt. Ganz in der Nähe befindet sich ein Bioladen.
Kleiderordnung:
Für diesen Ferienkurs brauchst du Jazz Schuhe (zur Not dicke Socken), Ein Tanztop und Leggings. Schuhe, die du auf der Strasse an hast sind nicht erlaubt! Die Haare bitte im Zopf.

For all of you who love dancing! Join The Center for daily classes in our studios where we will be offering a 4 1/2 hour long dance intensive! This workshop will focus on commercial dance and the styles which fall beneath that umbrella, such as, jazz, modern, hip hop and theater.
Commercial dance emphasizes not only technique but performance elements such as developing one’s stage persona and presence. Commercial Dance is often associated with moves that are energetic, dynamic, strong and confident. Along with that commercial dance would not be complete without it’s individual style, personality and playfulness.
You may have noticed that some famous artists such as Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears and Rhianna are often accompanied on stage or in their music videos by commercial dancers.
Our class routines will be made to the latest pop chart music and choreography will be cool, but age appropriate. We will start with a technique based warm up class moving into a second class working on turns, leaps, and jumps across the floor and short combos in the center. During our rehearsal, we will develop choreography for a short video that we will make on the final day. (All participants are required to sign a release form. The video will be posted on social on the The Center’s social media platforms and can be posted by participants if they tag The Center)
Group size: 5-14 participants
LEVEL REQUIREMENTS
For this workshop we recommend at least two years of regular and recent dance training. Students should be at least 14 years old.

During the lunch break students are free to explore the beautiful neighborhood around Kollwitzplatz. Plenty of shops, restaurants and delis are right around the corner.
WHAT TO WEAR & WHAT TO BRING
Please wear freestyle activewear. Clothes should not be restricting and should be age appropriate. Jazz dance shoes are recommended, socks are permitted. Hair should be pulled up and away from the face. Please bring a water bottle. We recommend a local dance shop,
