DESCRIPTION
This workshop is an introduction to contemporary dance designed for those who have not danced before and would like to give it a try. You will learn the basic principles of modern and contemporary dance techniques as well and strength, coordination and basic dance anatomy. The workshop will progress into learning energetic, flowing combinations of floor work and traveling movements such as turns and jumps.
This workshop meets on Saturday over the course of 2 weeks for 3 hours each day.
WHAT TO WEAR / WHAT TO BRING
Please bring a freestyle dance outfit and a water bottle. No shoes required.
We recommend a local dance shop, ProDanse, for all your dance attire needs.

HOW TO REGISTER
Due to the uncertain situation with Covid-19 for Summer 2021, our registration has slightly changed.
To register for a summer workshop or camp, please purchase the connected Registration Fee Ticket for 12 Euro. When booking, please save your payment details to the system so we can process your full workshop payment later. Your full payment will be due a week before the start of the workshop and will be charged and deducted from your account automatically after our workshop confirmation has been sent to you.
Reimbursement Policy
a) WITHDRAWAL
In case of cancellation, we refund the entire workshop fee minus a processing fee of 10€ up until 10 days before the workshop begins. Until 3 days before the workshop begins, we refund 50% of the workshop fee minus a processing fee of 10€. Afterwards, we don’t refund any fees.
b) MISSED CLASSES
We do not offer credits or offer discounts if you can not attend certain days of the workshop.

d) WORKSHOP CANCELED
Workshops and Camps are held with a minimum of participants AND will only take place in the event that the studio is open for in-studio classes (Covid-19). If we don’t reach the minimum number 24 hours before the workshop begins or the studio has to close, the workshop will be canceled. You will receive an email notification. In this case, you can choose to keep the workshop credited in your bSport account or have the full fee refunded to your bank account. The Registration Fee Ticket for 12 Euro is non-refundable but can be used for your next class at The Center.
WANDA CADDICK
Wanda grew up Birmingham England where she studies Ballet, Tap, Gymnastic and Jazz at her local dance school before going on to study performing art at Stratford Upon Avon college. In 2008 she graduated from Laban conservatoire of dance and music with a BA (hons) in Dance theatre. After graduating she went on to working with Contemporary and physical theatre companies. She has over 10 years of teaching and performing experience and is currently studying dance and movement therapy in Berlin.
