At the Center we offer Ballet and Contemporary Dance classes for those who have never danced before and would like to give it a try. Class Levels & Requirements

Ballet Introduction

This 6h workshop is an introduction to ballet designed those who have not done ballet before and would like to give it a try. It focuses on posture and correct placement of feet, legs, hips, spine, shoulders and arms. You will learn ballet vocabulary, positions and basic steps and jumps. Classes include basic barre and center work. After completing this course you will be ready to start the "Ballet Beginners 1" Class.
Ballet shoes required. If you don't have a ballet leotard yet, please bring tight fitting leggings and T-shirt.

Contemporary Introduction

This 6h workshop is an introduction to contemporary dance designed for those who have not danced before and would like to give it a try. You will learn the basic principles of modern and contemporary dance techniques as well and strength, coordination and basic dance anatomy. The class will finish in an energetic, flowing routine. Please bring a freestyle, comfortable dance outfit. No dance shoes required. Our classes are taught exclusively in English by native-English speaking performing artists.

Class Uniforms & Dress Code

There is no uniform for the adults. Please come in appropriate dance wear. Ballet classes will require a leotard, ballet tights, soft ballet slippers and your hair in a bun. (Don’t worry - You will not need all this to try the class.)
