Nutcracker Ballet Workshop

Nutcracker Ballet Workshop and performance opportunity!
Offered by professional ballerina and experienced teacher Bobby Bernstein Schulze, newly arrived in Berlin from New York City!

Come dance, learn and celebrate the magic of the Nutcracker with us this holiday season!
This workshop is a fun combination of improving ballet technique and performance skills, including learning real Nutcracker choreography from the professional production. Dancers will have a chance to be the magic doll (younger dancers) or the Sugar Plum fairy (older dancers experience permitting). 
Dancers will begin with a ballet class, including age-appropriate work at the barre and in the center and will improve their strength, flexibility, technique and grace. Following this class, dancers will have Nutcracker rehearsal. In this part of the workshop, dancers will improve their theatrical acting skills, balletic grace, and musicality while dancing to Tchaikovsky's magical Nutcracker Suite. Though all dancers will be in the studio at the same time, the exercises and choreography will be appropriate to age and skill level.
The workshop will conclude with an in-studio performance for family and friends, sure to bring holiday cheer to The Center and be fun for all!

Young dancers age 9-12 should please have at least one year dance experience and teenage dancers 13-16 should have at least two years of dance experience.
Attendance to all four weeks and on-time arrival is please mandatory to be ready to dance!

Mrs. Bobby B. Schulze has been dancing and teaching professionally for over 10 years with such companies as The Washington Ballet, The Metropolitan Opera Ballet and the Orlando Ballet, and as a guest artist. She has Nutcracker experience from her first childhood role as one of Mother Ginger's bon-bons to the Sugar Plum Fairy and is excited to share her love of dance with aspiring young dancers!
