Language Levels

Level 1: Beginning
No English language skills with the exception of a few isolated words or expressions.

Level 2: Basic Understanding
Children or adolescents can follow class instructions and understand simple conversational English.

Level 3: Basic Understanding and Speaking
Children or adolescents communicate in everyday English; they can understand class instructions and are able to speak in class with occasional support.

Level 4: Advanced or Fluent Understanding and Speaking
Children or adolescents understand and speak English fluently on an age-appropriate level.
