The Center is home to monthly breastfeeding support meetings for pregnant and nursing mothers. These meetings are in English!

Information about La Leche League Meetings:
Breastfeeding is most successful when a mother has information and encouragement and the opportunity to interact with other breastfeeding women. Having a support system gives her the self-confidence to respond freely to her baby's cues and to make her own decisions about how to raise her children.
 
La Leche League Meetings cover the many different aspects of breastfeeding, such as preparing to feed a new baby, overcoming challenges, introducing solids and weaning, and going back to work. Although there is a meeting topic, all nursing questions will be addressed.
 
La Leche League Meetings are not classes, but are open, informative discussions led by trained La Leche League Leaders - who are experienced breastfeeding mothers who have completed an accreditation program and are familiar with breastfeeding management techniques.
