Workshops for Schools

We are happy to organize fun and educational workshops for schools be it drama, singing or dance - all in English. As is always our policy, classes are taught by qualified native English-speaking instructors and conducted in English only. info@thecenter-berlin.de

Our workshops below are organized by topic. We have classes for all ages from 1-18 years. Please, click on the class you are interested in to get more information on fees and registration.
Early Birds save up to 10%! The Center offers a discount for registering and paying at least a month in advance! Please register online!

The Arts for Kids | Summer 2012

Inspired by the stories of Dr. Suess (you may know "The Cat in the Hat") we will put together a fun show with acrobatic tricks, singing, drama, and dance. We will even make our own colorful costumes and props!

Musical Theater | Summer 2012

Join our Musical Theater Workshop and life is a song! Sing and dance to musical songs from worldwide hit shows such as Annie, The Sound of Music, Wicked, Mamma Mia or Lion King. Learn original song texts and how to perform like a Broadway star! During this workshop full of song, dance and fun we will put together a show for your friends and family to watch at the end of the workshop.

Urban Dance | Summer 2012

This class will make you feel good. Complete with warm up, stretching, body training, turn and jump technique, this class will give you the tools to dance while developing your performance skills. It teaches fast and energetic dance routines, also suitable for kids with little or no experience in dancing.

Ballet | Summer 2012

In this fun ballet workshop we will put together a short ballet routine to classical music. Parents and friends are invited to our little performance at the end of the week. Each class includes exercises designed to develop flexibility, posture, grace, and confidence, and some fun and creative elements to keep the spirit of play present as we develop beginning ballet technique. Girls and boys, come and join this fun dance workshop!

Acrobatics | Summer 2012

Join this fun, energetic, and acrobatics workshop for children. In an engaging age-appropriate way we will work on cartwheels, jumping into rolls, backbends, splits and handstands, and more. Classes include an energetic warm up, lots of exercises and a little show at the end of the week.

English | Summer 2012

Want to freshen up your English this summer? Finally understand that grammar that you found really difficult during the school year? Want to actually enjoy speaking in English? Join a course at a cafe near The Center, enjoy some complimentary ice cream or beverage. 

Music | Summer 2012

Enjoy a fast-beat class with tons of your favorite children's songs and more. Each class includes segments of song, dance and instrument play. We look forward to meeting you and your child soon!

Holiday Season Program: December 17, 2011

Open House and Sing Along
Just drop in around 5:30 pm, and celebrate this special season with us! Enjoy some waffles and cookies and join our sing-along at 6 pm.
Christmas Crafts Workshop: In our Christmas Crafts Workshop children will build and decorate gingerbread houses, decorate cookies, (eat loads of them), and make christmas decoration or surprise presents. Please register in advance!

Nutcracker Ballet Workshop: Nov 23 - Dec 14, 2011

Come dance, learn and celebrate the magic of the Nutcracker with us this holiday season! Nutcracker Ballet Workshop and performance opportunity offered by professional ballerina and experienced teacher Bobby Bernstein Schulze.
